This program provides families\, friends\, and organizations with the opportunity to recognize their hero with a personalized street banner proudly displayed in Munster.\n\n \n\nProgram Details\n\n-Banner Display: Banners will be placed on light poles along Ridge Road and Calumet Avenue in Munster.\n\n-Duration: April through October 2026.\n\n-Eligibility: Honorees may include men and women who are active-duty service members\, veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces\, or local first responders (police\, fire\, EMS). Honorees do not need to be Munster Residents.\n\n \n\n-Banner Cost (includes banner design\, production\, installation\, and removal):\n\n     $275 for one banner\n\n     $500 for two banners\n\n     $725 for three banners\n\n $100 from each banner will be donated to a local service organization (choose from: VFW-Munster\, American Legion-Munster\, Munster FOP\, or Munster Firefighters Association).\n\n \n\nRecognition\n\nEach banner will feature:\n\n-The hero's name\n\n-Photograph (in uniform if available)\n\n-Branch of service or department affiliation\n\n-Sponsor acknowledgment (optional)\n\n \n\nApplication Process\n\n1.
